Sarah Day is one of only three wedding planners in the United States to win this prestigious award. What’s makes this such a special honor for us is knowing and sharing with the rest of the world our passion for weddings.
This organization represents over 20 countries with thousands of members that feature the beautiful weddings in the world. The Second Edition Winners are from 7 different countries all around the world.

There are two categories in the award nominee process which include The Wedding Concept and a Special Photo.
The three images you see above here captured the SAS Wedding Concept for Jamie + Lindsay’s wedding. Sarah worked diligently in planning meetings (that often included Mexican food and skinny Margarita’s) to help bring to life the vision they had for their wedding. Helping to find the right vendor partners that also saw that vision and didn’t mind tromping around Soggy September Rain! It was an interesting challenge at times because there were many vendors we reached out to that didn’t want to work on this wedding. Really, Yes Really.
You see Jamie + Lindsay are a gay couple who fell in love and decided to get married. But this marriage was not legal in the State of Georgia when we began our planning process. And ironically enough the day we had our Final Walk-Through at the venue in Madison Georgia was the day the landmark civil rights case in which the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States. So now this beautiful couple didn’t have to travel to one of the other 36 states where it was legal to get married after we got married in Georgia.
We cried – We laughed – We Celebrated standing in the Barn in Madison, Georgia that now they could really officially get married in GA with a legally binding ceremony and not just a Commitment Ceremony. Thank you Supreme Court!
For the Wedding Special Photo – well we don’t even remember the stealthy Schellie at Six Hearts Photography capturing Sarah at work. But here she is standing in the mud, in her rain boots and jacket pinning these gorgeous boutonnieres from EMW Floral.
