Now don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t the town, or neighborhood or even the city that I differed from…It was everything! When everyone wanted to be simple, I was crazy, when they were poised, I had jazz hands, when the world called for bland all I saw was “just throw some glitter on it” And wowza did I throw some glitter on it!
My sweet mom trying to raise this somewhat gifted, but let’s face it, eccentric little girl and still face her peers was a challenge to say the least.
Always a Poser with a Love of Theatrics
So here we are almost 40 years later and what do we have; besides a girl with a fabulous shoe collection, MINI Cooper obsession, killer posing skills and a refined Barbie Smile. We have a maverick that found the event industry 20 years ago almost by complete accident. And it was love at first sight!
People always ask me about how the industry has changed as there have been so many, technology to start with. But my absolute favorite, the BEST one is… INDIVIDUALITY! I went from pushing & pulling the boundaries of the “typical wedding”, to now finally being allowed to embrace the individually style, personality and circumstances of each couple I work with. A breath of fresh air I tell you! Whew Finally!
As a result, when I say that SAS was founded on the principles that each couple has a unique set of ideals, circumstances and priorities … I mean it! And now after what seems like a lifetime I get to work with couples who expect that individuality … They embrace the individual style and designs that show their personality as a couple. I honestly can’t be more thankful for it. If you want a “cookie cutter wedding” we will do it beautifully and flawlessly for you. But if you want to break that damn cookie cutter in half and toss it to the side, this really is the place for you to make Your Wedding Your Own.
